I previewed this afternoon’s game between Indianapolis and Seattle for The Farm Club.
One week after dismantling the NFL’s worst team, the Colts will welcome one of the league’s best to Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.
Indianapolis (3-1) thrashed winless Jacksonville 37-3 last week, and now gets set to face the 4-0 Seattle Seahawks.
The matchup features two of the best young quarterbacks in football, both of the 2012 draft class, with both Andrew Luck and Seattle’s Russell Wilson leading offenses that rank in the top-10 in net pass efficiency this season.
Before looking at the key individual matchups, it is worth noting Seattle’s drastic home/road splits in recent years. According to Football Outsiders, the Seahawks outscored opponents by “an average of 11.7 more points at home” than on the road from 2002-2010, and numbers show this trend has continued over the past two seasons as well.
